Italian Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 six-ounce can tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 4 to 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh black pepper

Instructions:
  1. Heat the oil on medium
  2. Add the onion and saute until clear
  3. Add the salt, basil, thyme, and oregano and sautee for another minute
  4. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, honey, and black pepper
  5. Bring to boil, then simmer over low heat for 20 minutes
  6. Add the garlic and cook for another 10 minutes
