Ingredients:
- 1 lb purple top turnips
- 1 package cream cheese
- 4 oz (1 cup) grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- paprika
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs (plain or italian seasoned)
- 1 medium onion (grated)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Boil or steam the turnips until soft, then mash them
- Add the cream cheese, butter, eggs, onion, salt, pepper, 3/4 of the cheddar cheese and mix well
- Top with the last 1/4 of the cheddar and the bread crumbs. then sprinkle with paprika
- Bake for 30 minutes
