Chocolate Chip Cookies


Ingredients:
  • 2-1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl
  3. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until creamy
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition
  5. Gradually beat in flour mixture
  6. Stir in chocolate chips
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until light to medium brown
  9. Cool for 2 minutes and immediately move from baking sheets onto cooling racks

Notes:

We got about 44 cookies out o this recipe, but the website says 33. Calorie count is based on 44 cookies. The entire batch of batter is 5632 calories, so you can divide that by the number of cookies you get to have total cals per cookie. Be sure to count any batter you "test" when you calculate the number of cookies...
